Retro Review – A Rose in Winter by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss
If he were a real person, I wouldn’t be surprised if he coined thephrase “differently abled. This is making me want to read the book again. Unsurprisingly, this plot follows the same guidelines as most historical romance novels in which the heroine dislikes the hero but the hero would do everything within his power to make her fall in love. Ugh, he was just your typical romance novel rake who used his dick as a compass and tried to tempt Erienne over and over to commit adultery with him, and almost succeeded.
Yet even as she fell in love with her adoring husband, Erienne despaired of freeing her heart from the dashingly handsome Yankee who couldn’t forget her. He was really a breath of fresh air; scenes with him kayhleen come soon enough.
I want to reread this now! She would’ve gotten rather boring. Luckily, she was saved kathlen that experience by Raoul.
