I would say that this work pretty much reminded me of Beautiful Disaster with the backdrop of a serial killer and a misogynistic, needy FBI agent who manipulated circumstances and the heroine just to get justice for killing someone they were both connected to. There was enough suspense and plot twists that kept you guessing until the end.
I sometimes see it blasted by reviewers because it’s not conventional.

It was a little far- fetched at times, especially towards the end but it was a nice escape and I did enjoy it. Has someone she trusted all along been the accomplice of a killer? I really liked all the characters in this story, and felt that even those that didn’t get much page time were easy to connect with instantly.
Between dancing and the mysterious Devin Castile, she starts to live a little more each day. I think of Faith and what she would have wanted. Never to me mentioned again.
