When I got to the last pages of the book, I sat there staring at the blank page, willing it to turn into book two! It was beautiful, in an anguished way, to be able to fhosen her make discoveries about things that her government, her leaders, made her believe to be truth.

I will definitely be buying onws paperback of this series when it comes out and I am just left hanging waiting for the next book in this series. The chosen ones were pretty cool and i enjoyed learning about them and truigt the secrets of their creation and the council. Thanks for telling us about the problem. I found myself smiling like a goofball in a few places. Some were raw and extreme. She refused to read anything considered “low brow” or outside the “classics.
The government begin a Council of Creators to build a new race who will live on when the human race has died out. Books like these are everywhere, but this is a world that I found to stand out among the rest as a very unique and scary idea.
She is a Natural, and he is a Chosen One. This way we get a lot of action and momentum in the plot without it being dragged down by details that do not add substance to the novel.

I like my heroines to be a bit more witty and have some life in them, but Tess was pretty boring. A punishment for a sister that Tess saw as weak, and selfish, even in her dying moments. We get exactly how the government came about, how things got to where they are as the story begins and you can feel the desperation of the people. Eventually, this leads to Tess being labeled as a troublemaker, and designated for death.
There must be someone or something who can help them. She has always been taught that the Chosen Ones are there to protect the naturals but she realises that this is not the case.
She also spent a few years living in Cuba. It felt a little too rushed and chaotic for someone as cynical and tiffan as Tessa. Tess can’t remember the last time she had butter and at Templeton she is serving foods she has never even heard of, along with champagne. Stories enabled you to forget you life and your limits. That part really reminded me of the Reaping.
In the process, Tess meets James, a chosen who is beautiful as he is unique in his love of music and books. Tiffany spent most of her high school and college career as a literary snob.
It is so well written and easy to read even though there is a lot of information involved. Besides, even though it begins quickly, their relationship growth is realistically filled with ups and downs that leave us emotionally frayed.
