Although it’s supposed to be a side-kick, but this book was really “clinically” helpful. I refer to it over and over. The author manages to take a subject that is often complex and present it in a way that simplifies it to the main concepts. The mnemonics and humor in this book do not intend any disrespect for patients or original investigators. No trivia or quizzes yet. I understood more about Neuroanatomy reading this book than reading the entirety of Carpenter. It’s down and dirty, no fluff of the nervous system. Smaller, clinically-oriented books must eliminate those aspects of the basic science which have little clinical bearing and emphasize those aspects vital to patient care.
