It’s all punctuated with fine research and interesting insights into the life of a Roman citizen. None of these cults come into play with any of the adventures and their inclusion and their location within the Companion comes off very odd.
Thanks for telling us about the problem. If there’s a thrust to the whole thing, a pattern regarding which materials came over to this book and why, it does not make itself evident.

The low marks are for the lack of attention and overall presentation.

All three are geared for very experienced CoC player. A customer xthulhu be forgiven for thinking this was a Roman companion sourcebook to the core Call of Cthulhu book. I reviewed Lux cthuluu in November of last year and found it interested, but a bit overpriced and really required Arrius Lurco and Cthulhu Invictus for a Keeper to get any use out of it.

The price is great, especially for a Chaosium book as they are generally more expensive than competitor products including others that use invictis own CoC license. Morituri Te Salutamus makes heroes of the player characters as they foil a kidnapping, and earns them the opportunity to play for even higher stakes.
