Cosdol is the most tolerant of the three states, with a sizeable nonhuman nation. It’s a little thing, but it is noticeable. The world does hang together pretty well in spite of the blandness, and the DM will kingdo,s have to work a bit harder if he wants to add adventuring sites, old civilizations, etc.

I probably would have liked one or two areas provided in great detail, rather than the entire setting detailed in good detail.

They placed much emphasis on martial skill in a game where, as we all know, wizards always ultimately grow much more powerful – ironically, some of their special native races, such as Golden Halflings actually gain bonuses to multiple mental stats and penalties to physical stats, while Half-Hobgoblinsdo the opposite.

You can run a roman type campaign in Kalamar. Overall there are six pages detailing nine organizations and the pirates of Tellene Chapter nine details the major languages of Tellene. The chapters failed to detail all of the kingdoks shown on the map. Appendix Four talks about the armies of Tellene.

If I’m thinking of the same thing, I’m pretty sure it was extremely generic high fantasy with subpar artwork – nothing offensively bad about it, but nothing even slightly memorable either. Its provinces declare independence, hobgoblin kingdoms thrive and foreign empires kingdpms, while the monsters of the land grow stronger than ever.

Noticable ommisions from this chapter are that only the details for the sects of human cultures are given in the text, despite the fact that the text makes it clear that all races revere the same body of deities.
