Although the magic got a bit messy and too technical at times, the plot suffered little due to the characters involved. I like the bond they share with Magadon. Can Soulbound or the two stories from Dragon erevls be found anywhere on their own?

Within the first few chapters of Twilight there is mention of an adventure Erevis had with Shamur. The sun no longer shines on a man who has embraced the darkness within him. The action is still there, but it doesn’t feel as strong as the first part.


It happens to be the same as mine from my fathers side of the family that I have not had much interaction with since a child. I like the fact that the main character is finally more like a normal person and not some supreme moral god who can’t do anything offensive.

The ending left some threads untied for Cale and Magadon which I hope I will get to grab onto again when I crack the spines of the Shadow Wars trilogy.

Erevis was masterfully done and created. While on the plane, Cale and Magadon realize that Riven’s betrayal was planned so the group can get closer to the Sojourner.

Extremely gory but great characters, action and motivations. Then you have all the little hints you have that basically tells what’s going to happen later on in the story.

Kemp wrote a great trilogy here with all the basic elements of fantasy covered. It neatly shows Cale’s powers as a cleric of Mask, his discomfort at Riven being brought into the fold, as it were, and shows ca,e a bit of th I finished the first book out of this three-part omnibus yesterday.
