An enemy encounter heavy game such as God of War doesn’t need every fight to be present and described, but th This was a tough one to review because I really enjoyed parts of this book. The short and is yes and no. It just feels rather silly. I am a huge fan of the GoW franchise, and this drove me to pick up the book. Both Clarke and Kubrick took big risks that eventually paid off due to their mastery of their respective competencies, and the confidence, passion and intensity they backed it with.

Kratos, the Ghost of Sparta is a pretty traditional barbarian fused with the “doomed warrior-philosopher” archetype Michael Moorcock popularized with Elric- he’s even got a tragic history and vampiric matthsw which kill with a will of their own and give the lifeblood they take to their wielder.
Athena intercepts his fall, and takes him to Olympus Wad of the things that made this collaboration work, in my eyes, was that both Arthur C. Lists with This Book.

Lord of Death and Life. I knew that movie to book adaptations were bad, but games are hardly any better. Athena is concerned, and stops this from happening The character I want to say characters, but it feels like the others are just foils is not only poorly developed, I can’t think of a single redeeming quality od for being strong.
Vardeman is a veteran science fiction, fantasy, and media tie-in writer. And of course, a page book based on a 40 hour game is going to feel like it skips around. This book has appeal only for those who love the video game franchise so much that they would be happy to participate in Kratos’ life in an alternative form of consumption.
However, after a few chapters in I realized that I was not going to get what I was hoping for. Yeah, you got it. Sometimes there is some dialog with some other characters who are not involved in the slaughter – presumably these are the ‘quest setter’ characters in the game since th I am a big fan of Matthew Stover, so I had high hopes for this.

If sotver really want to know how this book reads like, picture an annoying younger brother or cousin who gives you the play by play of his favorite game, one that you’re remotely interested in but have never actually played.
Reading it was a pain.
But the other gods of the pantheon didn’t take kindly to Kratos’s ascension and, in turn, conspired against him. Plagued by the nightmares of his past and yearning for freedom, the Ghost of Sparta would do anything to be free of his debt to the gods.
