Unfortunately, this repetition is the only thing about this book that I found a bit tiresome. They just don’t want to.
So who are you trying to convince here. While it may be difficult at first for readers unused to the basic terminology of philosophy, there is a lot of repetition in the first chapters that should give plenty of time to catch on. In his section on the problem alwags evil he suggests that non-Christians have no objective system of ethics from which they can judge God.

This book is an essential part of any apologist’s training, and since all Christians are to be apologists, we should all read this book. Much of his apologetics in action takes aim at either old and decrepit, or weak, attacks on the Christian faith.

God has chosen us to do His work through us and has called us to do it. We are to be nahnsen, respectful, and above all Gospel-focused. What I did get from that section was, again, his ability to expose the fallacious thinking in the unbeliever. He gives many counters to the common arguments and objections encountered by Christians in the culture.
It’s Understandable Bahnsen’s writings may take a little bit to get use to, but they are much more understandable than many of the other presuppositional writers.

A lot of his arguments are overgeneralized and, I think, misleading. If this were not the case, a rationalist could not use reason to argue for rationalism, an empiricist could not use science to prove science, etc. He takes himself to be the reference point for all interpretation of the facts.
It’s Practical Bahnsen emphasizes rdady fact that evangelism and alsays are inseparable. However, it is well worth it! The 2nd half of the book is practical, going over issues in apologetics such as the problem of evil, the presuppositions the other side brings in, and etc.
It is the Christian position that God has revealed Himself to all mankind so geeg we can know for certain who He is.
