InJacques Derrida gave a lecture at Johns Hopkins University that cast the entire history of Western philosophy into doubt. Jacques Derrida is kind of a collective frustration for most intellectual people such as myself and I have made my mission to get at least a basic understanding of his philosophy.
My advice in reading this book is to enjoy the way that Derrida deconstructs the notion of a book and not to worry too much about making sense of everything. Derrida was certainly wrong. Yet Derrida saw fit to take the time to undermine his authenticity myth bullshit. I cannot begin commenting on Glas.
